Thin granite is a relatively new material on Russian market. It is made of high-quality clay, quartz sand and fillers by special technology. The Spanish factory Levantina, a permanent exhibitor of BATIMAT RUSSIA under the Tile of Spain collective brand, was one of the first enterprises in Spain to open a line for production of thin wide-format panels measuring 300x100 cm and only 3 mm thick.
Techlam ceramic panels, that became a step forward for the whole sector, were first released ten years ago. The line initially included only a few monochrome collections, but was gradually expanded and upgraded, and now architects and designers are offered a catalog of modern and stylish solutions for every taste.
Thin granite is indispensable when the load on vertical and horizontal surfaces is limited. Plates have a low weight, while they are not inferior in strength and vandal resistance to conventional porcelain stoneware. One of the obvious advantages of this material is its wide range of applications. It is used both in external and internal decoration of residential and public buildings: for cladding of walls, floors, window sills, stairs, ceilings, as well as for countertops and work surfaces manufacturing. The panels don’t need special care, they are easy to clean, don’t get damaged from chemical and abrasive components, are resistant to abrasion and mechanical damage.
In the new season, Levantina develops decorative component and presents the Deco collection, where the tone is set by a sober color scheme and modern textures of fabric, stone and mosaic. Coatings, combining retro charm and advanced technology, open up new creative possibilities.
The Terrazzo series is based on the old technique of seamless floor, in which small fragments of chipped marble, semi-precious stones and colored glass are drowned in lime or cement. When laying light ceramic panels, joints between them are almost unnoticeable. The color scheme in gray tones fully corresponds to modern trends and allows to create elegant minimalistic interiors.
The texture of rough fabric with imitation of silk and silver threads is used in the luxurious ZahirPerle series, which is suitable for finishing both classical and modern style interiors. Industrial aesthetics is reflected in the Silk series, which strikes a contrast of untreated concrete surface and delicate texture of silk.
Continuing the study of ancient techniques, designers of Levantina rediscover hydraulic tile: the universal mottled Colonial mosaic cloth with vintage color, offering all the advantages of Techlam material, will become the main accent in any interior.
