Modern technologies are increasingly frequently finding their place in the projects of architects and designers. Innovative solutions allow you to make interiors more functional and solve non-trivial tasks. At BATIMAT RUSSIA 2019, the SMART4 company, engaged in the development and implementation of engineering solutions for smart spaces, took part in designing two exhibition stands.
Italian architect, interior designer and artist Vincenzo Stridacchio, the founder of Vincenzo Design studio (http://vincenzo-design.ru/), tends to show the individuality and character of the customer in his interiors. This concept, just like the main idea of the BATIMAT RUSSIA 2019 exhibition – the mood with its frequent changes like romance, sadness, joy, fatigue – are reflected in the interior of the multifunctional space presented at the ‘Functionality and Balance’ stand, combining kitchen, living room and study.
To implement the designer’s concept, SMART4 experts provided the capability of lighting, TV and music control with an iPad. RGBW tape used to illuminate the stairs provides an opportunity to change brightness and color of the backlight with one sweep.
Designed specifically for music and design lovers, the Bang & Olufsen BeoSound Shape system, consisting of hexagonal modules of the same shape and size that can be arranged into any combination, provided an absorbing sound panorama. Exhibition visitors could easily switch tracks, pause the melody, or adjust the volume of the music played.
The second stand, which was designed together with SMART 4 experts, was the installation COCO(N)ASTROENIE by German architect Alexander Radoske, co-founder of Hollin + Radoske architectural bureau (www.hollinradoske.com), which is known for its approach to creating atmospheric, emotional spatial compositions.
At BATIMAT RUSSIA 2019, the architect created a space for self-immersion and reflection. As a contrast to the chaotic and noisy exhibition space, the installation allowed visitors to focus on their thoughts, take a break from the overflowing emotions and impressions.
By combining light and sound control in one application on a tablet, SMART4 demonstrated the possibility of using system scripts in the interior. At the entrance to the installation created by the author of the stand, Celestial stereo speakers located in the center of the composition started sounding Eduard Asadov’s poem ‘Colors of feelings’. When the poet’s words about one of the senses sounded, the RGDW backlight tape located along the upper contour of the cocoon changed the color of the lighting, creating an atmosphere of total immersion in the poem.
So the author embodied the idea of the path from the outside world to yourself, remaining within the concept of emotional minimalism.
By combining control of various systems in one application and creating scripts for them, that meet different requirements, you make the space more functional and responsive to our mood.
In addition to lighting, audio and video systems control, demonstrated at the BATIMAT RUSSIA 2019 exhibition, SMART4 also integrates other engineering systems, automating the control of curtains, heating, air conditioning and fire safety at home in partner and customer projects.
Among the projects implemented by the company are apartments, houses and offices in Russia and Europe.
