GROHE, a permanent exhibitor at BATIMAT RUSSIA, presented two innovative mixer taps, GROHEAtrioIcon 3D and GROHEAllureBrilliantIcon 3D, made using metal 3D printing technology.
GROHE Icon 3D mixers combine digital technology and the highest craft standards. All components are printed from metal on a 3D printer using the technology of laser melting in a powder layer. Each element of the product includes approximately 4,700 layers of metal 0.06 millimeters in thickness, which provides unprecedented strength. After printing, each part is transferred to a milling machine with software control for processing, and then polished manually. This complex process makes each model a unique collectible item – only a few samples can be produced per year.
