On March 12–15, at the Crocus Expo, the WorldSkills Russia national team will run training sessions, and the WorldSkills competitions will take place in 5 skills: Industrial Design, Plumbing and Heating, Bricklaying, Painting and Decorating, Tiling.
The competition in Industrial Design will be held in the format of the international friendly championship, which will be attended by members of the national teams of Russia and Belarus. Russian participants will present their projects to colleagues and together with them will hold master classes for visitors of BATIMAT RUSSIA 2019.
The two members of the national team in Painting and Decorating under the guidance of coaches will hold a training session in the format of exhibition performances. They will apply a geometric fresco drawing on the wall according to a given sketch, show the texture of textile, stone, metal and wood using decorative and finishing materials, and reproduce a picture by a template. Team members will hold master classes for exhibition visitors in modeling and applying decorative coatings that mimic the texture of finishing materials.
For members of the WorldSkills Russia national team in Bricklaying and Tiling skills, the exhibition will become a training venue for practicing world-class tasks for the second year in a row.
At BATIMAT RUSSIA 2019, the Plumbing Star 2019 Second Open Championship on Plumbing and Heating will also be held. Last year at Plumbing Star, experts aged 16 and older competed in installing plumbing fixtures, water and sewage systems.
On the days of the competition at 11:00 and at 14:00, exhibition visitors will have an opportunity to question WorldSkills Russia experts on passing a demo examination in Plumbing and Heating. On March 14 at 15:00, WSR experts will tell about passing a demo exam in Tiling.

The WorldSkills Russia national team is a team of contestants representing Russia at international professional skill competitions. The most ambitious contests – the World and European Championships – are held every two years in one of the countries participating in the WorldSkills International movement. The next championship in which the Russian national team is to take part will be the WorldSkills Kazan 2019 World Championship.
