At Batimat Russia 2019, on March 12–15, the Crocus Expo will host WorldSkills Russia national team trainings and competitions in 5 skills: Industrial Design, Plumbing and Heating, Bricklaying, Painting and Decorating, Tiling.
The competition in Industrial Design will be held in the format of international friendly championship, in which members of the national teams of Russia, China, Iran and Belarus will take part. Russian participants will present their projects to foreign colleagues and together with them will hold master classes for visitors to Batimat Russia 2019.
Two members of the national team (Painting and Decorating) under the guidance of coaches will hold a training session in the format of demonstration performances. They will apply a geometric pattern-fresco on the wall according to a given sketch, show the texture of fabric, stone, metal and wood, using decorative and finishing materials, and reproduce the artistic picture with a stencil. Master classes from participants in modeling and applying decorative coatings that mimic the texture of finishing materials will be available for guests of the exhibition.
For members of the WorldSkills Russia national team in Bricklaying and Tiling skills, the exhibition for the second year in a row will become a site for training and practicing world-class tasks.
During Batimat Russia 2019, the Plumbing Star 2019 Second Open Championship in Plumbing and Heating will also be held. Last year, Plumbing Star contestants of 16 years and above competed in installing plumbing fixtures and installing water and wastewater systems.
The international exhibition Batimat Russia 2019 will open a new construction season at the country’s largest exhibition venue. Leading manufacturers and distributors of building and finishing materials together with the best Russian and foreign designers and architects will present new items and premiere collections of the new season.
The WorldSkills Russia national team is a team of contestants representing Russia at international professional skill competitions. The most ambitious of them – the world and European championships – are held every two years in one of the countries participating in the international movement WorldSkills International. The next competition in which the Russian national team is to take part is the WorldSkills Kazan 2019 World Championship.
