The newish Russian manufacturer Ecoclinker, which produces clinker tiles using extrusion technique, claims that frost and snow can’t damage this material. The plant was built in 2014 in Novocheboksarsk as an enterprise for production of facade bricks. A year later the plant developed its own technology for manufacturing clinker products by the method of vertical extrusion. Today, the products are manufactured using Spanish, Italian and German equipment. The special high-melting clay is used as basic material.
Facade tiles, steps, mosaic, clinker paving stones and facade bricks were presented at BATIMAT RUSSIA 2018 and aroused great interest. Ecoclinker offered two collections of facade tiles – Antique and Natural, which include a series of frontal and angle steps, as well as floor tiles. Antique collection includes artificially aged tile with decorative potholes and chips. The collection is made in two colors: sand and burgundy. The Natural collection includes four basic colors: burgundy, sand, brown and light brown.
The range of available products includes four mosaic designs with an ornament in the form of a star, a square, a circle and a flower that are produced on a grid. Сlinker mosaic can be used to decorate both exteriors, including finishing of stairs, terraces, pool bowls, garden paths, fireplaces, barbecue areas, and interiors.
The main advantage of Ecoclinker products is high resistance to abrasion, acids, salts, abrasives and moisture absorption, frost resistance. The surface is non-slip at all times of the year and in all conditions. These characteristics are achieved by double heat treating: drying and firing. The bricks are fired at a temperature of 1300 degrees for more than three days.
