The Russian company Ornamita, manufacturer of unique decorative steel sheets and wall panels, exhibitor of the BATIMAT RUSSIA 2020, presented its products as part of the HoReCa Design Area (Hotel, Residence, Café) at the stands by Zoya Ti (Four Rooms) and Regina Urm (The Other Way Round).
Stainless steel is a type of metal that is made by combining steel with chrome and other materials, depending on the type and strength desired. The end result is a durable metal with a shiny protective surface that looks great and withstands harsh operating conditions. Steel is used in wall finishing, in furniture production, for example, in the kitchen, as well as for creating unique decor. Ornamita produces steel sheets with a mirrored and polished surface both with standard (leather, linen, frost) and custom-made patterns.
Stainless steel decorative sheets are mainly made from rolls. The type of surface depends on the processing method: grinding, polishing, texturing or engraving. At the same time, the stamping method gives a better surface in the matter of resistance to mechanical stress, since the metal is subjected to additional cold rolling. In addition, the decorative stainless steel produced using the stamping method has an advantage of the mass production. The engraving method, in turn, allows you to produce new surface patterns in relatively small batches, due to the low cost of equipment.
The view of the water is relaxing, isn’t it? Now imagine that this water can be on the wall and even on the ceiling in the bathroom, living room, in the reception area and even in the office. The secret is in unique steel panels that completely imitate the surface of the swaying water. Steel ‘Ripples on the Water’ is not only one of our favorite types of decorative steel, but also a relevant trend in interior design. Ornamita produces unique textured sheets using its own technology, which distinguishes products in price and quality from European counterparts.
The stand by Zoya Ti is an imitation of a mini hotel, with a lounge and 4 types of rooms. Each room was decorated in one of the trend colors of 2020–2021. Four rooms: in blue, rose-wine, emerald and ochre-yellow colors. Hall is designed in black and white. The unique idea of the stand is to let everyone ‘try on’ the color, feel it and choose his own.
The stand by Regina Urm ‘The Other Way Round’ is a story about a patio in the open air, about dreams and emotions. This is a place where you can relax, escape from the hustle and bustle, move into an unusual world, where everything is different – water on the ceiling and the garden on the wall. Look at the world from a different angle, and familiar objects, people, stories will open for you in a new perspective.
The design stands enjoyed great success among the visitors to the exhibition and entered the list of the best BATIMAT RUSSIA 2020 stands. The stands featured unique mirror steel sheets – ripples on the water, leather, dots, chaotic microsection.
