The technologists of Decorici, a regular exhibitor of BATIMAT RUSSIA, have developed three completely different decorative coatings that imitate natural materials. The paint looks so realistic that it’s easy to confuse it with glossy silk fabric.
Velours – the effect of the lightest translucent fabric. It is ideal for application in compressed silk technique. When using classic application, small strokes are applied in 2 layers.
Velours satin – matte silk effect. A great option for giving a modern touch to the classic interior, as well as for the increasingly popular contemporary style.
Della Seta – the effect of dense noble fabric. The porous structure of the coating supports the exquisite overflow of each particle of pearl pigment. It is ideal for applying with large classic strokes and for vertical application. The dense material provides ease of trowel sliding and makes it possible to form a pattern immediately after applying the paint to the wall. It is applied in one layer.
Silk paint is among interior solutions of the latest generation, and has artistic and decorative value. Indeed, with this coating, the interior gains much more radiance and external gloss than with ordinary wallpaper or traditional paint. But professionals see its value in other attributes, which include: environmental friendliness, high resistance to UV light, humidity, temperature change, chemical compounds, and the ease of care as well. Paint with silky effect is easily applied to the walls. The composition of the coloring material is environmentally friendly and safe for health – the paint doesn’t contain solvent, which is replaced with water, and therefore it is harmless and doesn’t cause allergies. The binder in this paint is acrylic resin. Pearl pigment particles in the paint are able to reflect light, creating the effect of natural silk on the walls, playing with many color overflows. Another advantage is the variability of the pattern structure depending on the application method.
There are three main ways of applying silk coating, providing completely different end results. These are the effects of wet, compressed and classic silk.
