The Moscow Flower Show has never seen anything like that before. The alien garden in the style of Burning Man and Marvel films was made by interior designers Irina Chun, Anna Erman and landscape designer Milena Borisova. Their project features futuristic art objects, exclusive outdoor furniture and designer lighting, which were specially developed for this event. The SPACE BEACH 3019 concept – the combination of the newest technologies in furniture industry and professional work in landscape space design – was awarded with a gold medal as the Best Art Object.
“My dream has come true! 15 years ago, when I was a student, I won a competition for product design. It was a furniture group of pyramids transforming into furniture. And yesterday, the new outdoor furniture was finally presented for the first time at the Moscow Flower Show”, designer Irina Chun says. “Pyramids of the Moscow Flower Show 2019 feature universal geometric shape, a symbol of harmony, used countless times in architecture and design. I’ve offered the new interpretation of this traditional form – an unusual art object of three pyramids, which transformed into chairs and fireplace. Items were created by ST Profi, furniture manufacturers from St. Petersburg, the best in working with wood and metal using high technology of polished aluminum alloy. The seats are made of teak wood, with holes permitting evening light.”
VIII International Festival of Gardens and Flowers Moscow Flower Show 2019 is the main event in the field of landscape design in Russia, a week of high fashion garden art. It takes place from July 10 to July 21 in the Museon Museum of Art. This year’s theme was the theater.
Irina Chun participated in the Integrated Solutions section at the BATIMAT RUSSIA 2019 exhibition, with the Philosophical Room stand where she presented her designer furniture – two solid armchairs, simulating fossilized dinosaur bones, printed on a 3D printer.
This year at BATIMAT RUSSIA, interior designer Anna Erman presented the Funny Room of a Teenager where she used printed green peas as a bright pattern.
