At BATIMAT RUSSIA 2019, HANAK company and the architect Maria Romanova presented the Cafe Island stand. “The first thing we decided to do was to show the opportunities of partnership with turnkey solutions. So the eco-hotel concept was born, with a kitchen, a dining room and a recreation area. I needed to come up with a concept for a few days, and I refused to use ceilings. The concept of open space was born – with outdoor kitchen bar and cafe. We all dream to come to a quiet uninhabited, but comfortable place. This is a dream that we’ve managed to fulfill,” Maria Romanova said.
HANAK is a family factory, named after the founder, which is now run by the fourth generation of the family. Tatyana Komarova is the general director and the only official representative of the Czech brand in Russia. She continues the work of her father, who began working with this manufacturer more than 20 years ago. In Russia, the factory has a retail chain and big plans. For example, the idea of turnkey interiors is actively promoted in bars, restaurants and residential buildings, which was reflected in the concept of the stand.
Tatyana noted that only in recent years, the HANAK company began to work actively with designers and promote in the Russian market. “We have so many unusual solutions and technologies, we just need to tell about them to a wide audience. And designers, whom we offer many cooperation programs, are the first to appraise our opportunities! Moreover, customers seldom work with us personally, because we need a professional who can make the most of our opportunities and create an original product – just like Maria did for our stand at the BATIMAT RUSSIA exhibition.”
“For most brands at the exhibition the main goal is to show their products. And I always tell my partners and customers that the main thing is to show our opportunities. Why should you fix the level you are now – you better show what you strive for. We need to look ahead, demonstrate personal ambitions, necessarily supported by opportunities, and Tatyana fully agreed with me on this.
A stand is a complete architectural structure, where the modern large kitchen plays not only functional, stylistic and decorative roles, but the role of the main architectural volume, setting the scale and style. We stayed in a minimal, but very natural combination of materials and colors.
It is believed that the best kitchen units are German. But the kitchen is not just the product itself, it is also service, communication, speed and logistics. From this point of view, HANAK can be much more efficient than other manufacturers. In addition, this Czech company will create not only a kitchen, but a finished interior with dining room, living room, tables, chairs and armchairs using products provided by its partners,” Maria Romanova continues.
The factory has really many partners. In particular, at the exhibition the HANAK stand was fitted with ASKO equipment, where the well-known and talented chefs – Anastasia Khozisova, Oleg Kusov, Anush Mirzoyants and Kirill Reinsky – held master classes in molecular and fresh cuisine.
“We decorated the stand with live plants. Nature itself is the perfect decorator. There is nothing better than its design, natural smells and sounds. Do you hear the birds singing? This music is also selected not incidentally! Even the lamps on our stand are symbols of nature and childhood: birds and balloons that go upwards,” the author of the project says.
Original BROKIS pendant lamps made of high-quality glass in the form of birds, created by hand by glass blowers from the Czech Republic, complemented this interior, giving it poetic charm and unique dynamics. The Night Birds collection is made using the labor-intensive technology of glass melting in press mould and its subsequent bending.
Another partner of HANAK is the TON factory – the legendary manufacturer of Czech chairs, whose history begins in 1861. Today, the factory’s assortment includes more than 300 models, classic and modern designer chairs and tables made of bentwood.
“We appreciate minimalism in design and we believe that a person needs few things for full comfort. But we need functional, safe, healthy environment to enjoy life. Maria created this interior for us, showing everything that HANAK is capable of,” said Tatyana Komarova, general director of the HANAK representative office in Russia.
At the welcome reception, HANAK received a prize for the best stand.
