The BATIMAT RUSSIA 2019 exhibition for the first time was attended by Anton and Marina Fruktov, founders of the Design3 studio. According to the Architectural Digest magazine, they are among the top 100 designers and architects of Russia. They are members of the Russian Association of Decorators and Interior Designers (ADDI). The designers presented the stand with a philosophical name – Introvert’s Living Room.
“We immediately liked the phrase ‘philosophical living room’. We began to search for our hero – the introvert. We created a cozy space – cocoon with different textures, such as metal, glass and textiles. This is the inner world of a man, which is closed from a wide audience. Layer by layer, revealing his personality and soul. Once here, you can hide, abstract your mind from the outside world, stay in silence and even get lost,” Anton and Marina say about their original concept. “The virtual worlds of our subconscious can find physical realization here. We project our individuality, emotions onto the surrounding interior and the objective world.”
The BATIMAT RUSSIA exhibitors became partners of the designers, including such companies as Tarkett, Manders, Palantir, Schneider Electric, Nazarov electronics gallery. Furniture and interior items were provided by Unika Moblar, Flat Interiors, Repeat Story, Decor City, Black Loft, etc.
The Palantir company assisted in decorating and lighting the stand. Anton and Marina Fruktov chose floor lamps (BIRDIE) from the Italian factory Foscarini. The thin metal leg of the lamp resembles a tree trunk, its polycarbonate lampshade is a reinterpretation of the classic reading lamp, and the twig serves as a light dimmer for switching it on or off. These three elements harmoniously merge together. The central element of the interior composition was the legendary polycarbonate pendant lamp from the British factory Tom Dixon (MIRROR BALL). It was designed as a completely spherical object. The model is made by vacuum metallization technology – each sphere is covered with a very thin mirrorlike layer on the outside.
For the stand of Fruktov designers, Tarkett provided Desso Tweed carpet tile with textile-like designs. These are sixteen articles in various combinations, where the black color remains unchanged. It contrasts with bright saturated shades. Desso Tweed carpet textile-like tile is a combination of two threads that form a soft, pleasantly tactile texture. The coating comes with EcoBase base, which is 100% recyclable. With exquisite colors and innovative base, Desso Tweed carpet tile was awarded the Cradle to Cradle® silver certificate.
