For the first time, training contest of WordSkills Russia national team was held at the exhibition. This event is supported by the Government of Russia and Vladimir Putin. The competition is aimed at improving the prestige of operating jobs for young people. The contest included four competences: brick laying, tile laying, engineering sanitary ware installation, and industrial design.
Young specialists’ work was assessed by international jury. On the last day, the names of the winner and awardees of the Championship according to the standards of WorldSkills Russia among plumbing and heating specialists, the Plumbing Star Russia 2018 were announced. Three finalists: 1 place - Sergey Sapronov; 2nd place - Valery Nikitin; 3rd place - Vasily Kartsev got the opportunity to become coaches of the national team for the qualification in Plumbing and heating. Moreover, the winner will go to Germany to the Grohe plumbing factory, and awardees were awarded by companies Grundfos, Rothenberger, Grohe and TECE.
In the competence of Industrial Design the winners were: 1 place - Baojie Li (China), 2 place - Anastasia Artemyeva (Russia), 3 place - Sang Uook Ahn South (Korea).
